This makes 'Charlotte O'neal's song' have a better sense of the past tense as it uses past tense verbs, opposer to the nouns in Nothings Changed.' The use of figurative language does not play a strong role in 'Charlotte O'neal's song', but in 'Nothings Changed' temperature is the main area for figurativualarity with words such as 'burned' and 'ice'.
